This cottage was originally built too close to the lake. The client hired us to lift and roll the cottage back away from the water approximately 200 feet. A new crawl space foundation was constructed to support the cottage at the new location. It was somewhat tricky maneuvering the building around the trees on it’s journey to it’s new resting place. Adding to the difficulty of this project was the fact that we were unable to drive our equipment to the job site. The cottage was located at the end of the lake where there was no road access. Instead, we had to barge in all of our main equipment, including the steel beams and transport boom truck. |

Here comes the boom truck! Unable to get vehicle access to the job site, we had to barge the equipment in the entire length of the lake! |

In this picture, we are getting ready to lift the cottage just enough to begin placing the grid work of steel beams necessary to support the cottage. |

The cottage is now lifted and will soon begin it’s journey back towards it’s new foundation. |

We roll the building by constructing steal beam ‘tracks’, and we place large double sided rollers between the main steal and the steal ‘tracks’ |

We had to be careful to make sure we got around the trees without damaging the building. It would have been much easier if the trees weren’t there!! |

Just about have it to the new foundation! One more tree to get around and we’re home free. |

Excellent! The cottage has been set down onto the new foundation….and all of the steal beams have been pulled and loaded back onto the barge! |
