About Us

Jim Tedford grew up in the structural moving business. It all began more than 40 years ago when his father started a company called Tedford House Lifters. After working with his father for more than 10 years, Jim decided to branch off and begin his own business, and Tedford House Movers was born. At the age of 25, he was lifting and moving buildings all over central Ontario.

Fast Forward 25 years, and Tedford House Movers is one of the most successful structural moving companies in Ontario. Our customer base includes home/cottage owners, farmers, specialty equipment manufacturers, contractors, corporations...and the list goes on.
